So i dissasambled the old LG GCC-4522B thats manufactured May 2005 and its a IDE drive and i we looked that it is a 16x Drive...
Is it worth putting in the Aixiz Module i bought in Ebay?
And the Drive is a CD-RW/DVD-ROM Drive it says on the top
i have allready got the laser extracted
Thanks cause this is my first post :)

Sorry but what you have is an infrared diode. It's not worth using as it is barely visible. What you need is a diode from a DVD-RW.

So the CD-RW means that it writes CDs? and DVD-ROM means that it reads DVDs?
Am i correct?

Okay now i found another drive in my parts Room
Its a NEC ND-4550A DVDr/RW & CD-R/RW Drive dunno if its 16x or 20x (now i think its a 16x drive. says 16x DVD-R/RW speed)
Will that one Burn? :D

It should burn. Take it apart and see if it has a round diode because there are some burners that have square diodes which are unusable.

Don't forget to get safety glasses that block 650nm before burning with the laser.

nm is the wavelength of the laser. It will be around 650nm. You need to harvest the diode first so that you know if its usable or not.

Post pics.

Post pics of the diode and the sled. Include part numbers if present. The one with the inline pins are most likely IR.

It should be able to put out at least 200mW. Post pics of the diode so we can tell what it is.

I found a text that has no color on the diode and it says "L96 55A4"
Damn cant upload pictures cause their size is too big... :/

Upload it to imgur. You can resize it there. You can also use MS paint.
