Turning a 650nm 20mW laser into a burner.

Ok guys, someone here will be able to help me surely. I have a 650nm 20mW laser sight. Now I don't exactly have much of a clue about what the numbers stand for only that it seems a fair bit more powerful then these pissy little $10 laser pointers you get from the servo. And I know that it is. What I don't know is can it be transformed or modded to produce heat? If so and someone knows how could they tell me, show me or give me a link to some instructions. I'm not gonna be silly with it but I can imagine it being kinda funny if I start toasting marshmallows with it any help would be great.

You really need to do some research and reading on the
Forum to get you up to speed.

You will not be able to take a 650nm Laser that you think
is 20mW and mod it to burn and expect it to last...
You will no doubt end up with a useless stick...

It is cheaper and simpler just to buy a higher output Laser.
I would also suggest that you get some appropriate Laser
Safety Goggles/Glasses if you are going to burn stuff. Your
retinas could burn just as easy.
