I'd like to share with the forum a great little laser pointer in the darker red wavelength area.

Survival Laser R 660nm

I'm fully aware of the fact, this particular laser was reviewed in a great manner by lazereer in the past, as the following link proves:

Basically this thread is just a gallery overview, besides I've promised Gary/Garoq to post a basic look at this bloody red beamer.
As many others who happened to come in contact with survivallaser.com, their laser portfolio offers some affordable and attractive laser pointers easy enough to be assembled and used straight away afterwards.

The link with all necessary information:

My unit outputs well over 300mW, can't complain much about the visibility and output performance:D.

Without writing too much, I'll let the pictures do the talking:).

I've used a custom focus ring instead of the original one. I know I should've gone for the double focus ring from SL:tinfoil:, eventually for easier focus operation.

Must be used with the 18650 red AW red battery, indeed! Looks orangish due to light exposure:shhh:.

Where do you shine yours lol. I'm in a very populated city and I'm shining them outside constantly. As long as no planes around, there's a beacon coming from my house.

Love that camera gizmo. Just did a review with phone pics.. Boo. Did you end up buying it from your buddy?

And that blood red beauty is nice.

Optik Illusion: all I could hear last night was natural outside background noise, wind blowing and occasional dog's barking. Perhaps he was upset about my lasing, but heard dogs don't have great eyesight, unless it was Superman's dog aka Superdog:D. And sky was plane and helicopter free as well:).

tmackbb4: cheers for the kind words. I'm sure you're enjoying your dark redder from Joker:). The DSLR is momentarily in my possession for a limited time, but when my buddy comes back from UK next month I'm planning to negotiate a reasonable price tag for it;).

Garoq: Your feedback is much appreciated, Gary:beer:. Glad you like this sort-of-a-gallery-based-review!

Perhaps I should try a similar presentation of the SS 405nm version I've got from you the first time. Will see what can I do about it:).

:thanks:
