Storing dvd burner diodes

Hey i just got a second dvd burner off a friend today, from which ill harvest the diode, but i was just wondering would i be better off leaving them in till time comes that i have my module, or is there any good ways to store them?

Kind of a silly question bro. Yes, leave it in there till you decide to build your laser.

If you need to store a diode, and dont have an anti-static bag, rap the diode in a small piece of aluminum foil. Make sure all the pins on the back of the diode are touching the foil. Then throw it any type plastic bag/box.
