Still Failing to make a Jr. Dorcy Laser

I kinda made a year goal to try to get my laser working. This was from November last year. Where does the red wire (Some people supposedly has it as a yellow wire too.) from the circuit board (The circuit board that I connected the resister and the other wire to the diode) go? I curved the wire some other way and misplaced it. I dealt with it by kind of wrapping the wire around the spring that goes down to the batteries and the umm... I think it's called the capacitor. It only lights up vaguely (So i dealt with that by just cutting off the resister altogether after buying the second diode.) if I turn the whole module around side to side into the spring-hole....thing.

ahhh...ive only used a lava drive on the 1 dorcy ive ever done.
