I've heard of the Spyder II GX and the Spyder II BX, but is there such thing as a Spyder II RX???? How come it isn't on the WL Site? Its probably another ripoff...

they were going to make a SpyderII RX but they had issues with the diodes and they never came to market

if they do a red high powered one they should claim it is 2W so it can output at least 300mw :)

LOL I completely agree, and the price of it would probably be a ridiculous $1600! ;D You would probably have gotten a laser that outputted about 150mw. For that price tag! I hope that every laser enthusiast in the world will visit this forum, and by that become warned about the ripoff affair called WL.

I remember reading something that the spyder II RX was a DPSS red and I think it was available when the spyder II series just came out

I actually won one in a contest right before Spyder IIs hit the market, but had to opt for a green since they decided to not make any RX units. Price was along the lines of the others. I don't remember it being a DPSS, but it was supposedly a high power red diode with good beam specs (if you believe that). I think you can ask WL to custom make you a 635nm Spyder but its insanely expensive compared to a lab module.
