I am new to the "laser world" and this laser caught my eye but I was wondering if it is good for burning, and if it is a good laser in general.

Welcome to LPF! and have good safe fun!

Rayfoss has a good reputation as a seller. I have one of these lasers myself and its pretty well made. My only complaint would be that the module inside(inside mine atleast) is loose and can at times cut in and out.

This is just my experience with that laser...Most if not all of their lasers are up to spec and well built.

You might want to look at this one as well...I have it and found that the construction is more sturdy and it does not cut out.

With all this being said....
There is NOTHING like making your own...i.e.:driver, diode, heat-sink, host, battery, goggles.....give it a try, all the info you need is in the Search area.

The loose module in mine might just be that unit. I would not discount Rafoss as a company. Enjoy them both. They both should burn just fine at the focal.

They will contact you via email and you can pay them via the methods they advise. I think I used Paypal....
