I don't burn anything except the occasional Thermopile Test Coating..
and use goggles every time when operating Lasers in the shop..
It is just common sense...
The type of goggles depend on the type of Laser...

I too, always use them when burning or setting up a optic experiment.
I will admit to taking them off once everything is in place and secured.

As stated before, wear them at all times until everything is secured and you are away from the beam's path.

Always always! Safety first And if you bought the goggles, it'd be a waste not to use them.

...And if you didn't buy goggles... your priorities may be a little off...

I use mine if doing anything with mirrors, some kind of optic experiment or burning.

If I have the room filled with fog and I want too see the beam I don't, but I'm careful.

Wow... you must be a super expert with Lasers....

I hope your Lasers are less that 10mW... other wise you are
not too prudent or bright to brag about your lack of Laser safety
practices...

That's like saying... I drink and drive and haven't run over anyone
yet....

Default Re: Question for Dilda owners!

I consider myself as "super careful", but I have had a few close calls (if I was not wearing goggles)
Most of the "boo-boos" I've had involve holding 2 or 3 pointers at the same time when setting up a optical project and pressing the side momentary button on one of them.
You think, "well I am careful" but sh!t happens.
As I stated before, I only remove the goggles once everything is immobile and I am at a 90 degrees angle from all beams.
