if you mod the pulsar, it will be close, but a spyder will not have to be focused like the pulsar will.

And please tell me where you found a 200mW pulsar :p

the colour of the laser does not affect burning. a blue laser can be focused to a smaller point, a green can be focused more than a blue, and deep into the ir cant be focused as well as a red. that is why blu-ray and HD DVD drives use 405nm diodes, so the "dot" on the cd can be focused smaller = more space to burn per disc.

if you have 3 lasers, a red 150mW a green 150mW and a blue 150mW with the same divergence, beam size, power levels, optics, etc they will all burn the same.

but in regards to your question, straight up purchase from wickedlasers, between a 150mW pulsar and a 200mW spyder, a spyder will pop better, not because of the power, but the beam size. i was trolling around lasercommunity and it looks like noone that ordered a spyder has gotten theirs yet and they are cnstantly being told "one more week" i wonder what that is about...

The spyder will pop better. They have a smaller beam diameter. The spyder is also more powerful, there are no 200mw pulsars, you will have to mod it. The spyder comes 200mw AVERAGE! I would deffinatly get the spyder (if I could afford it)
