O that sucks :( but the guy selling it probably saw how many people were buying that and he ended it because it was a great price for buyers but he couldn't make any money off that

I lucked out on eBay on Friday and Saturday.
2 of these LPC's
2 PHR-805's for $15
1 SF-AW210 sled for $15 in a bid
1 Module heatsink
2 16340 protected cells
all under $60
*sigh* now I just need to wait... but hey, for the money I saved I don't mind

Meh, we've been paying ~$7.50 for PHRs, and LPCs for a long time. And we had a GB for 6X SF sleds for $10 a while ago.

Haha I can't help but laugh, tsteele, that was a good one. But yeah, TJ, I kinda realized I didn't luck out so much as I didn't get scammed. But hey, I'm just a simple boy from Maine. A proper price paid is enough to gimme a smile.

Thanks. I try hard.

Some people dont get that you can be a ball buster, and a nice guy at the same time. Others struggle for acceptance, and reverence, when I could care less. Some people have a hard time dealing with that for some reason. They have their priorities mixed up. Life is too short to be shallow, and vain.

Life is too short NOT to be shallow and vain! It all depends on your perspective.

Seriously though, you seem to ASSUME that I am nice because I am struggling for acceptance and reverence when actually I just try to be nice because I know what it is like to be that new guy who is just trying to learn the ropes or who is enthusiastic about something and have the "veterans" jump your case and tell you that you are doing everything wrong or tell you that your diode find is just "Meh" and have the wind taken out of your sails.

There is room to be polite and to try not to step on people's feelings or egos while still directing them along the "right path."

I have thick skin, so feel free to poke at me though. I'm just an old fart who doesn't care what anyone thinks about him anyways.

We already have a "Who is TJ" link

Nice muscles! :crackup::crackup::crackup:

EDIT: P.S. If I were to model my forum etiquette after someone here, it would be daguin. He doesn't seem to take any crap, nor give it out - but he is always firm, yet polite and civil (from what I've seen) in dealing with forum members.

I am trying to decide which is the best red, the 815, 826 or 836. The general consensus seems to be going with the 826. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but they all seem to max out about the same mW. They just take different mA to get there?

I don't have the 836 but I have compared the unfocussed dot from the 815 and the 826 diode.
The 826 has a perfectly full dot while the dot from the 815 isn't full. There are multiple lines on each ends of the dot. That makes the 815 dot more oval.

Dots are important to me, so that would definitely steer me towards the 826 over the 815.

826's are new and 20~40mW more than LPC-815's and well if u can get 300+ out of a cheap red 826's are your friend.. LPC-815 would work fine at 400mA ~430mA MAX rest is just torture.. While LPC-826's would be fine at 450~455mA and still give u a good 300mW.

One thing that you SHOULD do is to use some thermal paste for the diode and properly heatsink..thats your best bet :)

Yeah, I was just hoping the 836's would be another step up but they don't seem to be widely accepted as better than the 826's that I can tell.
