Why bother painting it chrome ?? lol.
IMHO, make the whole thing chrome then.
Btw, how visible is the beam supposed to be ??? Mine isn't really that visible. Even at night.
I just tested red colored matches (only color they had here). It lights em up pretty fast when pinpoint focused.

Paint chrome?
I sanded all the black paint off and shined it up with a buffing wheel with some aluminum polishing compound

Pen looks very nice polished. However, the dilda does look like a flashlight as you said. I will go further and say it looks like a flashlight from the dollar store.

I cleaned my room really good a couple days ago and found them behind my desk. Yeah i have no idea. I also found some .223 and 7.62x39 rounds back there too! Im pretty sure i have more ammo in this picture than gander mountain has on its shelves. Stupid NRA.

yeah i cant believe they hid all this beautiful metal under all that black rubber paint crap. The pen is my favorite. I kinda wanna dip the pen in and out of bleach so it oxidizes and looks all old and beat up. The polished tube only looks good on the new style dilda, i swapped it onto an old style and it looked weird.
