O-like cylindrical lens possible for 635nm diode beam correction?

Hello everyone, I found this lens on O-like:

I wonder if this could be a possible lens for correcting the beam of the new 635nm laser diode? (300mw+). Has anyone had experience with using this type of lens? Perhaps larger ones could be found on a website like surplusshed.

They are fairly cheap and are worth a try

^ too big ones ..... also, usually cylinder lenses have a WD of 0.5mm or less, where the chip of a normal LD is usually 1mm or more from the front of the can .....

You need a semi-cylindrical lens of approximatively 2x2mm dimensions (max 2x3mm), with broadband AR coating an a WD of 1.2 to 1.4mm, for use it on a common LD and still have the possibility to use a "standard" 9mm lens assembly or aixiz/similar modules ..... i'm searching for them from almost a year, now ..... found only few companies that can produce them, but only in mass quantities and at too much high prices, for have any utility for hobbysts ..... still searching, but the possibilities are very low, at the moment .....

You are posting in the wrong section on the Forum..
Not a very good start for your 1st post....

Since it has nothing at all to do with Laser... perhaps you could
post it on some other Forums more in line with your No Laser
related questions...

There are lots of companies that produce and sell beam shaping optics. The need is in finding a good source of cheap and decent optics.
