Ok, I have the senkat 16x lcc red diode. First it was driven by fexdrive 5 set @ 350mA. It was burning stuff well but there was no beam at all... So I thought something is wrong w/ fexdrive or my dummyload and I made one DDL driver w/ pot set at 3,8ohms what would correspond to about 330 mA. Also measured mV w/ dummyload and it was something about 300. Hooked my diode(which is in heavy and large heatsink, so heat is no problem) to driver and ran it by 2x18650 at full charge. Guess what? No bloody beam not even in total dark... So if anyone knows what could be causing this problem, I would be grateful for any kind of help. TY

That is impossible with the Senkat 16X LCC RED Laser Diode...
I could possibly believe that statement if you were running an IR 808nm LD...:undecided:

Try adding some fog into the room. Your eyes might possibly not be sensitive to the 660nm wavelength. I could be wrong, but those are my guesses. I can see the beam fine on my red, its pretty hard tho.

It's red, so don't be expecting a visible beam. Of course there'd be a bright spot.
@OP, you will need fog or smoke to see the beam. It isn't visible in anything but a completely dark room, or out at night.
Red is much less visible than green. 50mW of red=5mW of green in terms of visibility. So of course you're gonna have trouble seeing the beam indoors.

Omg its running @ 330mA it should be putting out about 200mw so that would be like 20mw greenie, but it isnt, no beam at all!!! I have 5mw greenie that is maybe little OP but It has very visible beam in night sky.
I have also seen videos of 16x diodes beams in night sky, so supposedly the camera can catch that beam, but unfortunately neither of my 5 cameras cant... so the problem is not in my eyes.

It burns, but your camera can't pick it up. That's extremely odd. Cameras will also pick up IR, so it can't be that.
You're running a 16x at 300mA, which isn't good for it. They're rated for about 140-150mW maximum CW.
More details, or photos, perhaps?

If you are trying to be sarcastical or somthing like that, I FOCUSED IT FFS IM NOT RETARDED.
spot is small but very very bright.
Maybe glass lens could cause this problem? should I try plastic ones?

I believe he just meant that the spot should be very bright. A plastic lens would only lower the power.
If my laser is able to burn what should be lowest mw it could be outputting?
I presume if it can burn then for sure it should have visible beam?
Also had LOC diode(RIP) I ran it at about 450 ma and i could see beam it was very bright, but this one not....

Maybe he's just got really clean air where he's living?
Red beams can be hard to see if you don't have a bit of smoke or something in the air - same goes for all lasers actually. Try looking towards the laser from out in front. I think maybe you're expecting too much from your little senkat (?)

yes, Iremember that but it was months ago and I had no time to try connecting it to DDL I was busy w/ school, but now I took that laser and dissassebled it cuz I bought some 18650 batteries( before that it was ran by flexdrive and 3 aaas) cuz I thought fexdrive was f'cked up. So this time I used DDL and new batts and calculated current(didnt use dummy) but no beam again
