Hi so ive always liked palyin with them and stuff but i was looking into them and i noticed some of them can burn stuff so i was kind of wandering are there any lasers i can get out there for like $20-$50 that will be able to burn just like matches and small stuff like that or would i be able to get a laser at some place like radioshack or something and modify it to do that. If so could u post a link to a guide or something like that. Any help would be appreciated seeing as how i no absolutely nothing about this stuff, Thanks.

I have always liked playing with laser pointers but recently i have started doing some research on them and found that you can burn stuff with them. I was just wondering if anyone new where i could get a nice cheap laser from $20-$50 that would burn stuff or maybe post a link of a guide that would be able to tell me how to make one. Also if i would be able to get a laser pointer from like radioshack and modify if to burn stuff.

You won't be able to "modify" anything from Radio Shack to do what you want. I recommend that you also look into some laser shades if you are going to be burning stuff.

Yeah. That sucks. Unless you can find a friend or relative willing to pay for it for you, your pretty much out of luck. Many of the components you will need are only available on the internet. There are not many (or any) brick and mortar type stores that carry what you will need to build a laser.

you could buy a laser via money order. there's no age restriction on money orders and you don't need a credit card...
and by total coincidence I happen to accept money orders

Be cautious of selling functional lasers to minors - I think YOU are a minor, too - but you are opening yourself up for a lot of troubles...just friendly advice. If you take it in the spirit in which it was given, good on you. If you don't ? Well - whatever
