If you want to send a lens for me to test here larry, I'd be happy to compare it to a meridith and a aixiz glass and acyrlic.

Kenom;

I just might do that, after I finish some testing I am working on.

I don't have a Meridith for Red to test against.

I asked Milos to test this new one, but he is over in Europe playing around.

Since your beast takes a C-mount, it will need a good AR lens for those hi-power Reds & IR's.

Just received some new lenses specially coated for 600 to 900 nm laser diodes.

They are high NA and short focal length for minimum beam width.

They will fit in the brass machined lens holder shown in my avatar.

With the open aperture, power should be close to the limit for affordable lenses.

I have used 405nm suitable lenses for 650nm laser. It works fine, but a 650nm suitable lens does not work as good with a 405nm laser....

There is also one more thing about short-focal lenses, is that the longer wavelegth the greater will the beam divergence be.
