im amazed! i ordered my dx red last week and it arrived yesterday, shipping was quicker than some of the top-dogs 
overall very happy with the laser, though the focus nob sorta feels wonky and misaligned.
anyway - has anyone tried energizer lithium CR2 batteries in this? will they fry the diode?
i had to pay $22 for two duracell CR2, but i noticed energizer lithiums were slightly cheaper?

Instead they shipped two other items to me worth less than 10% of the laser's value.

I think it might have been mentioned previously but you can wrap some Teflon tape around the threads to tighten up the focus barrel. Worked for me.
This is a very good burner. I'm happy with it!
And I had to do the same thing... pay the big bucks at Walgreens for the CR2's while I waited for my backordered batteries were on the slow boat over.... at least they sent the charger and batteries at the same time when they did ship...

I am just curious as to why yesterday my new order said "packaging" and today it changed to "Processing - Contact Us for Details"???
It showed the items in stock that I ordered!

Another support ticket sent to DX to find out what the hell is going on!
DX really pisses me off sometimes!
If there stuff wasn't so cheap it wouldn't be worth the hassle!

The reason for that is because you orderd from DX. lol. The cheap prices come with free hassles. Once it took 2 months for them to even answer to a support ticket i sent.

Well I finally got mine today! I have to say, for the price this thing is unbeatable. I dont have a power meter but it seems to be right up there where it should be. It burns at least as good as my 140mW alpha. At first the laser would only power on for a few seconds then shut off. so I bypassed the switch and it was fine. Now its working with the switch in place, but i'm going to add some solder to the connection.
But seriously... for $50 I'm amazed.
