Hi Guys,

I love the red color and I love red lasers, but unfortunately for me I never really found a bright Red >650nm even the 300mw ones I do think they have a dimmed beam, and more than the red color I love good beams. :)

I recently discovered and researched about 635nm here and learned that this laser is the brightest of red lasers, but lasers 635nm >200mw has a bad beam profile with a really bad divergence. And I found only one person with a Orion HV 635nm 300mw. And other person that I found (that I don't know if he has the orion hv) only told me that this lake is more a flashlight than a laser.

Is this the best I will get in beam visibility and handheld in Reds? I don't want to burn anything, I want beam visibility. :) Call it fetiche, mas I do love beams...

Thanks

PM Jetlasers he has a high powered 635nm for sale. I don't know about the divergence though.

You must have a good job, with all the purchases you have made or tried to make. I wish I had your buying power! Good luck on your search.

I also do love red very much! This 640nm laser, also a CNI built, is another option, if you´re interested I´ll ask for the highest output available in this PGL-III-M host. But still waiting on a good 635nm, there is a definitly a noticable difference in brightness between a 300mW 635nm and a 300mW 640nm. The nearer a wavelength is on the edge to NOT VISIBLE (IR,UV), the bigger is the difference with a few nm more (UV) or a few nm less (IR).

According to their data sheet there is also no GLP higher than 5mW or 1W PGL-III-C-447nm

I must say that I'm tempted to get a 635nm, even it has bad beam profile. Gray for JetLasers told me that they have 635nm up to 400mw. (US$520,00)

I was hoping for better beam shots than the ones I found from user aryntha.
