need 3 ohm 1 watt resisstor

hi i have ordered aixiz module, tantulum capcitor 47uf 16v, silicon diode, lm317t but getting a 3ohm 1 watt or 2.7 ohm is quite diffcult i got paypal so i can pay via paypal for the resistors. or if anyone selling one ebay i buy it off there but am having problems finding these resistors. wt bout 50 x 2.7 Ohm 0.25w Carbon Resistors 1/4w Resistor 2R7 r these suitable????

If you can find 6ohm or 12ohm resistors you could always double them up for the 6ohm or quadruple them up for the 12ohm in parallel to make a 3 ohm resistor. The resistors you are talking about in the end of your post are only .25w and you are looking for 1 watt according to your title.

Take four of the 2.7[ch937] 0.25W resistors and connect two in series and two in parallel for a equivalent of a 2.7[ch937] 1W

or you could take 2 1/2 watt 6 ohm or 4 1/4 watt 12 ohm and connect them in parallel to get the 1 watt 3 ohm (kinda what someone else said but trying to emphasize the what values needed to obtain the 1watt needed)

because the current will be equally divided by the equally resistive resistors in parallel then each one only needs to be able to stand up to it's part of the load.
