Welp, just for fun I thought I would post some pictures of my strange fleebay purchase.
I was really hoping that it would be HeNe but it turned out to be........

635nm -5/+10nm
.95mW
Diode laser
from long ago, an age of myths and hearsay.................................................................................1994

Okay some picture for your enjoyment....it is rechargeable via a wallwart that came with it, which is kind of cool...and does work....BLAZING out it's .95mW in a TM01 from what I can tell, although it may be because of an optics problem.

Like I said in the title.....

I couldn't find any info on this unit, the same company put out a portable HeNe that is really cool though.
I may try to take it apart at some point, if I can do so without destroying it...if not, i'll just keep it as is.
Judging by the size and date I would imagine it cost a lot more than the $5 I bought it for;)

^^^^^^
Looks like you have a fan!;)
(just having fun..)

Edit: a couple of picture of the dot....my camera won't pick up the beam well or the mode. It does have a on/off switch on the side that is not as visible in the other photos.

 LMFAO reading this thread.

The older 635nm lasers were certainly huge. Reminds me of the ones jncrammer picked up off of ebay and resold on here... although this one wins out in the size department.

Yup this ones a hand full for sure!

Just goes to show how far even the simple low powered pointer has come in 18 years.
