Hey everyone i am looking to make a laser for the first time.
I would like to know what it a good host for a first time builder.

I would like to use the Aixiz housing and a lavadrive or a rckstr driver. What is a good host that is about 8 inches or smaller, but not to small that i could barley work with. I am also wondering if i need a heat sink. I am kind of tight on money so if i need a heat sink i will make on out of washers. I would prefer if the host ran on 4 or less AAAs or AAs.
If there is a better one that runs on CR123A then that will be Ok. Thanks

I think I am going to use the MXDL Flashlight with the 3xAAAs.
Does anyone suggest a good driver for beginners to install. I could use the Rckstr Driver with 3 ultrafire AAAs at 3v each or i could use a lava driver with 3 rechargeable energizer batteries at 1.2v each. What do you think will be a better set up/ more easy to install.

I made my first laser with a Dorcj "Jr" flashlight and it works just fine. But you do need to get a heatsink I ordered one from dark_horse and its relly high quality. It runs off one CR123A and I have a Flex Drive in it. It wasent that hard to build either and its around like 4 inches tall. And I just built it like 3 weeks ago and it works fine.

Thanks for the advice guys, but i will have to you it for my next laser. I was going to use either the MDXL 3AAA or the Dorcy jr, but dr. lava was out of the flexdrives and won't be getting an in till next month. i really didn't won't to wait that long. So i found a dorcy flashlight that runs on 6AAAs and i will use the rckstr driver. When i am done with my first red laser i will post so pics. I might make a blu-ray laser in a couple of months, so then i will use one of the suggested hosts. Thanks anyway guys.
