Okay so I just wanted to show off one of my more unique recent builds
This is a Mitsu G84 diode with an X-Drive set to 2.4A. I got the diode from our friend Podo and the driver came from our other friend DTR
The host is a full aluminum host that holds two 18650s and has a rear clicky switch. This host was made by our very own ElectricPlasma! So far I have had 2 hosts made by him and I gotta say that he does a superb job and I'd definitely recommend him if you're looking for a custom made host!
The focus adapter is full copper and was created by FlaminPyro. I am amazed that he was able to create exactly what I wanted because the only thing I gave him as a reference was a crappy MicrosoftPaint drawing
So I thought that the G84 could hit 2.5W but mine only barely hits 1.6W. Maybe if I get a bigger driver it'll go up in power but I don't know enough about this diode to try and push it. Either way I'm happy with it
Here are some pics (I skipped the build process cause it wasn't anything out of the ordinary)
The parts and pieces
The emitter
The adapter
Anotha one
Finished product
My iphone doesn't capture how sharp the lines actually are on this thing
The Beeeam:bowdown:
The adapter in action!
Sooooo there we go! I'm gonna be playing with this thing all night
I hope you enjoyed it and maybe we will start seeing more of this diode, or others like it (I'd sure love a multi-emission green or blue)
