The photo of this auction does not represent the laser diode, because this diode is "open can"

Also someone with only 3 sales, do not say that this person is not honest, but it's
enough money, to trust in someone with so few sales, it's just my personal opinion

There is open can diode photo if you scroll down which matches the other link.
It seems to be the part of the ML501P73 spec sheet, or it was inserted there.

in any case, is anyone planning to get it?

Oh, anything exciting / exotic?

:) yes indeed, i'm working in machine shop on my "ultimate" host heat sink for portable laser. It will be large and fan cooled as well as easy to upgrade. Just wish i had more than 45 min a day to work on it :) (during my lunch hour at work). I will be pushing diodes in there to their limits :)

That sounds exciting ;)

Although I actually meant - were any of the expensive diodes you found, something exotic ;) ?

Haha, it seems that this gentleman has heard us, because he has
changed the main picture, and now corresponds to the laser diode in question.

I hope people who have ordered one of these diodes have lucky, and say how it went with this seller.

Actually, the seller was pretty good about it. He emailed me last night to say that they had initially posted the wrong photo, and that the diode was an open-can design.

He asked me to read over the description again before he went forward with actually shipping.

I told him it was fine, and that I had known it was an open can diode before ordering.

I'm glad, I hope everything goes well.

You say something when you have the diode, and its performance :D

I'll be watching this closely too, and may follow suit if the outcome is good.. Hate working with open can, but that's mostly in my head, since I know the can doesn't protect all that much. (Well, it may, from back reflections...)

i prefer open cans because they are built to operate on open air and are just tougher physically. Also, there is no problem with dirt on the window that gets to closed can diodes.
