Now i have already the full module ._.
What's the right procedure to fit the diode?

i'll not even use the PSU to power my laser diode... :\

A good, stable PSU is a fine way to drive a diode...IF you're careful. Did you short your leads before hooking to the diode? Loose connection?

Back to the module..you said you tried to press the diode. Did you have a bare diode, and press it into a module?

If you don't have a press tool, why would you try to press another diode into your existing module?

$20 is an easy price to pay for a pre-pressed diode, complete with leads already soldered, and a lens!
