Ok Thanks! but how do you attach these to the front of the diode? Do they screw into the heatsink or what?

Yes, you just need the front part.

But you also need a way to press the diode into the aixiz housing. Usually people use the back end. So I'd get a full module first. Then buy just the front ends.

Ok so where or how do i get a lense for this diode? The lense option on Mohs site says 445 lense but is there a difference?

If I were in your shoes, I'd go look here and order one of the inexpensive kits.

That way you get everything you need in one package.

Or go HERE and get an inexpensive package that saves you figuring some of this stuff out on your own your first time.

Like where is a kit that has everything in one package? 35 for JAD kit, 12.99 for lpc-826 diode, 5 for module, 5 for lense and 10 to 15 for batts. Can Jayrob beat that?

If you are using a linear driver, it will take care of that on it's own..

tsteele Yeah that makes sense but with the JAD kit from moh you still need diode, lense, module and batteries.

tsteele Yeah that makes sense but with the JAD kit from moh you still need diode, lense, module and batteries.

You need also charger, solder iron, tin, skrink tube etc. I mean at some point it stops. The JAD kit needs a laserdiode pressed in a module with leads. For the rest use your common sense.

im planning on a build inside a small 9 led flashlight i picked up at my local tesco, im going to use the lpc-826 and a ghostdrive2 set at 502mA. is this is a good idea for my first ever laser build? dont worry about the tiny host or the difficulty, i just want to know if 502mA is ok for a lpc-826.
