Long Opencan Diode Power to MA

I wanna buy one these and power it with a 9v volt using a rckstr driver so what would be a good Ma for a nice life and power?

Oh yea whats highest Mw you can get also whats the "hot spot" meaning life the best MA you can give it.

Ok, it's not called Ma. It's mA.
It's not Mw. It's mW.
And it definately isn't MA

But if you want good lifetime and power, set it to 420-450[highlight]mA[/highlight]

There are several charts available, but here's my favorite:



I don't know who originally put this together, but it should answer your question about the maximum output for all common LPF diodes..

If you're comfortable PMing me your email, I will send you a copy of the datasheet for the long-die open can diode. Personally, I run mine slightly above the stated max current of 205mA (from the datasheet) at 250mA. This gives approx. 150mW of output before optics..
