Hey guys....

I recently bought some of these .....
5pcs 3V 650NM 5MW 6MM OD Copper Dot Semiconductor Laser Diode off ebay and I am wondering if any one else has bought some of them and what were their experiences with them... I bought them mainly to build cat toys with... I am assuming that these are the same kind of diode that you find in your little Key Chain flash light laser pointers that run off button cells.. They are three volt and I am also thinking that i could get away with AAA's to power these little diodes am I correct in assuming this.... THey were cheap like two bucks on ebay and you get five for two bucks I did not think that was to bad of a deal just for some diodes to play around with.....

There are already a couple threads on these. I would be careful using them as cat toys. One was
measured at 31mW. A tat coy should be <1mW. They are fun to play with.

ya I saw that after I posted the thread and I am working with Jmiller when my come in to test them at what mw they are running I have a sneaky suspicion that they all come from the same manufacture the ones that being sold on ebay and the ones on the Chinese whole sites like FastTech... I going to buy a few dozen to to have some thing low pw to mess around with
