Where would be the best place to purchase laser safety goggles for 650nm ?
I'm mainly thinking in terms of assured & tested safety for red lasers, above 500mW ...

For high power 650nm my company offers these:
http://store.oemlasersystems.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=32_7_42&products_id=249

A direct shot to the eye with a 500mW 650nm laser will pass only .005mW to your eye for up to 10 seconds

Or the following two pair for alignment purposes:

http://store.oemlasersystems.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=32_7_17&products_id=245

This pair above will pass 16mW to your eye on a direct exposure

http://store.oemlasersystems.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=32_7_17&products_id=256

This pair above will pass 0.5mW to the eye on a direct exposure

They are all FDA/CE rated.

Well,i guess you know that laser goggles that pass anything over 5mw to the eye are practically useless?
But ill look into the other ones ;)
BTW:Does anyone know what the WL lasershades are certified for?

OD 2, I'm fairly sure.

They are designed for lasers <200mW, like the ones that Wicked sell. If the glasses were any stronger, you wouldn't be able to see the dot from the lasers, and that would really suck for enthusiasts :)

Your saying 500mW laser? Then don't get the WL ones, they aren't strong enough. FrothyChimp has the right links for you, you should look at those ;)
