This is the same kind of tube power that both my and GooeyGus' first HeNe's were.

Plus, you got a power source and a nice enclosure with yours.  It was a great deal!

actually i was thinking of pulling a dave and using the tube for an accent lamp. ive really got no other use for it but its cool either way ;D

I've seen several of these little MetroLogic units, but I've never see one opened up. At least with this one, if you open the case and the tube doesn't have any (or much) of the plasma tube exposed (like GooeyGus' first), you can just screw it back together again.

actually there was a few ending the same day that were fairly cheap. i think theres still a few on ebay for around 40-50$+shipping but none as cheap as this 1. this guy just didnt know how to label his auction b/c he didnt know what he had. instead of HeNe or helium neon laser it got labeled as a metrologic neon laser and wouldnt show up if you searched for HeNe or helium neon. always remember ebay is kinda like google. play around with your keywords til you find what your looking for. ;)

Post beam shots. ;D At least it's green so it will be somewhat visable... Still need to burn stuff though. ;)

They're so much more fun to tinker with and poke at. They're usually easier to disassemble as well.

if there is a beam ill make some beam shot when i get it but i dont have a smoke machine :(

Incense or a spray deodorant will work as a visualizer (and they both smell nice).
