How old am I? :)

I just won this laser pointer on eBay. Not much info, except:
New in box, never used.
Made by Deharpporte Trading Co, Eden Praire, MN.
I have never seen any pointer quite like it. It reminds me of my old 670nm one.

That's why I just had to have it.
Anybody seen one of these before? Anybody have one of these?

There are 4.73 Gazillion strange little "novelty" type lasers that are sometimes produced for a very short run.

How does using a variety of fonts and colors make me seem less intelligent, Jerry.
Here's one of your posts, I see different font sizes and colors, are you 12-years-old also?
Look at any good eBay site or other sales site.
Fonts and colors are what grabs your attention.
I don't appreciate your insulting my intelligence.
This is totally uncalled for, and insulting me for something you also do, makes no sense. IMHO
What have I done to you, that would make you belittle me in such a harsh manner?
I thought we were all here to help each other, not to insult each other.
EDIT: Sorry for the rant Jerry. ( I had a really bad day) I did not realize that my colors and fonts were bothering anybody. I have had nothing but + comments about them, until this post. But you could have just told me and I would have stopped, no need for insults. I will refrain from using them ,if they are bothering others.

With all due respect, I often spend less time reading your posts because the colors annoy me. Nothing against you personally; it's just a pet peeve of mine. I'm like that because novice web developers often experiment with fonts and colors, not realizing how terrible it looks and how infuriating it is for readers. They then react poorly to the design criticism and leave other developers with a bad taste in their mouth. :undecided:

And although it may not detract from your post's content, it does tend to rob it of some of its credibility when it's Joseph's Technicolored Dreampost...

Nothing personal, just my two cents. :beer:

The only color font i ever have a problem with is red. for some reason my 42in screen makes red text very hard to read, but other than that if you like very eye catching text then keep the colors coming.
They are hard to miss.
Side note i used to make wooden pencils and pens on a lathe i wonder how well a laser would work in a wooden housing.
Might i make a slight suggestion, maybe shorten your sig a bit. Its cool that you have all those laser but it takes up soo much space.

Greenmechanic, without to criticize you,Jerry uses different colors and fonts to suffer emphasis to important points on his posts and split different posts that he quotes to make more clear to what he is responding on the whole reply,at least that's what i believe.

Thank you twhite, for letting me know that the fonts and colors are bothering people. I have had nothing but + comments on them, so I assumed everybody liked them. I will refrain from using them, now that somebody has informed me in a nice way.

Yes I see the difference. That's kind of what I was trying to do. I had no idea it was offending others. Sorry folks, someone should have told me sooner.

Again thank you for your suggestion about my sig. I had no idea it was bothering people also. If something I do bothers any of you, just let me know and I'll do my best to change it. It's that simple!!

Some may find 'pet peeves' as petty and insults as insulting--sometimes I think 2 cents comments may be best left in ones pocket, including mine-I have been tempted to post them , to only delete after reading what I said. IMO greenm having no crystal ball is guilty of nothing. I would not like being thought of as a person who had issues with a lot of little things.......'Don't sweat the petty things...and don't pet the sweaty things'. HZ- --ps- I will be happy to limit my use of other fonts and colors too.

Your font isn't offending anyone, it's just that they become a little annoying. We're used to read everything with the same type of font, size, and color, and your posts breaks the "peace" hehe

standard fonts so that it isn't an eyesore..
IT IS A SALES THREAD... not a standard everyday post or

There is rarely Colored non-standard Font in my everyday
posts unless I need to make something a bit clearer...

BTW... without trying to insult you....
You can leave the size of your Sig.. You could use a Smaller
Font like Albert....

Sorry Jerry. I was very tired and did not feel well when I posted this (overreacted) post.
The next morning I reread it and went "Wow, that was harsh"

Several others pointed out that my colors and fonts were bothering them, so I have quit using them. Hopefully, there is no hard feelings on your part.:beer:

It is very hard to interpret someones meaning by reading words alone, and I must have missed the "crackups"
I was in a very bad mood and took it out on you, Again, I'm very sorry.:bowdown:

EDIT: I did receive the laser. It is 670nm, runs off of (2) "N" batteries, and is very well made. The LED looking thing is the switch, and it is marked Made in the USA. Not bad for $3.75 including postage

Oh well, its going to be a shelf queen, not a workaday laser.
