Highest milli-watt 5.6mm/9mm red diode

What the highest power 5.6mm/9mm red diode less then 150 USD please.

Well, there are definitely multiwatt 9mm red diodes out there. The highest I've seen? The 1W 9mm sold by heruursciences.

im pretty sure u can get cheap modules fit for 9mm diodes too. that'd make things easier

Open can Red from LPC-815 can output up to 350mW of ~658nm at below 500mA without lens.

I also managed to get my hands on 1W open can 9mm multimode 635nm diode, but it never performed as speced. Maybe i just god bad unit.

that would be interesting to play with... i've searched a little, but came up with no descent prices... google turned up a few 300 dollar 1 watt diodes, mostly Ir though... why would an IR diode be so expensive... yeah their fun... but pretty much useless unless you have an application that demands it... and i suppose you could use it to turn off streetlights lol "works with my red OC at 350mW focsed" not on all of them though...

anyways, i'd love to get my hands on a 1watt diode of ANY kind but IR. if anyone has one lying around... throw me a price. on second thought... red would be the only affordable option when it comes to a whole 1watt of goodness... lemme know.

Definitely Chris's 1W 635nm 9mm. And I'm pretty sure that it fits the 9mm Meredith Glass Module. I know I'm buying one ASAP. I just gotta save up a bit. I think the problem for making these portable though would be finding a big enough host for heatsinking and building a sufficient driver that would still fit inside the host... unless you want a 1W labby.
