I have really wanted to do one of these as well. And that host you used is just perfect.;)

I will be getting one of the blue LED's out of the new M series projectors that I have ordered. Hopefully it has the same specs as the red one. I think I am going to do a matching pair of the red and blue.:eg:

DTR do all of the M series have the blue led in them? If so I am freaking stoked and will also be doing a matching pair in this host.

I am getting this from what Daguin had said and from what he said looks like in the M series a Blue LED is used for blue light and the diode array is used just for the green. Here is his quote.;)

daguin said:
An interesting side note is that with the "Pro" and "Short Throw" models, there is a blue LED in the light path IN ADDITION TO the blue laser arrays. They are also reporting a 3500 Lumen rating for these two models. It will be interesting to see how they combine these two blue light sources in the light path.

Looking at it more closely, it looks more like the blue LED will provide the blue light and the blue laser array will simply be used to fluoresce the green wheel.

Peace,
dave

Well crap balls. I didn't get the pro or short throw models. I got the XJ-M140 I believe. Hopefully they're in all M series.

Yea we are probably out as this is a 2500 lumen. They probably only use them in the 3500 lumen to bump it that extra 1000 lumen. Well that is a bummer I misunderstood what he was saying.:cryyy:

I would love to get my hands on one of those blue leds or a green one. I looked all over last night and couldn't find any directly for sale.

blrock;

At 8 amps input, the output would be ~800 lumens.

You would need very good cooling to achieve that level.

Looks like another site with no direct ordering set up to me. If I'm wrong please point me.

When I click on the blue item number in their pdf catalog, then I am redirected to a site showing the pricing, availability and the order button. Try and see if that works for you too.
