What's the hardest anyone pushed these so far?

They seem to be rather efficient.... I'm hoping the murder test will show them stable at higher numbers... 500mA+ :)

Personally I'm hoping they can hit around 660mA to output ~500mW without trouble... I mean the regular ones... not the superfreak you got:p

Hopefully the 500mW lds will show up again soon... that's why I haven't ordered a second one yet. Well that and my wallet needs life support lately:eek:

Edit... not sure where where I pulled the 660ma figure from... I just want to see if these hit .5W+ on a regular basis.

I'm putting the first one at 400ma - try and keep it happy for a long time.

I'm going to wait for the 500mw ones to show up again before I try hitting class 4 with the 635

On this page of Ebay was sell for a few days, but for some reason are no longer on sale.

MITSUBISHI 635nm 500mw CW Laser Diode /TO18 5.6mm | eBay

I wonder if we are in for a surprise? Remember when 445's were selling upwards of $250 on eeebay. Someone made huge profit. Then all of the sudden we discovered the projector and havested them for <$50.
I really, really hope something similar happens and these 0.5w reds become available for <$20
