No more payments needed guys. If you were on the list and did not get a chance to send we appreciate your willingness but unless we are going for 3 we don't need any further donations at the time and I believe 2 should be good for now to get some decent data.

Total received $138
Total needed for two $138

I will take your advice on future videos.:)

Also Thanks for those that donated.:) This Reminds me of the old LPF threads that i have read in the past. Its nice to see the community come together like this.

Those that dint donate as DTR said also thank you for your willingness. Save that donation for the 500mW Murder fund

just built a hotlight with copper aixiz module and some thermal glue.
set at 422mA i got:

3 element glass = 202mW
AR coated 660 Acrylic = 204mW
650-G-1 = 280mW

Can anyone give me a link to some prisms?? :) preferrably under 30 dollars (I think it has been posted before in this thread but I cant seem to find it)

+1 for whoever helps me.. :D

Not < $30, but you can rip out the beam shaping pair from the non-functioning 473nm lasers. The AR coating is for IR, but not terrible for red. Plus you get a powerful 1.4W IR diode, optics, power supply, and a great labby host. Total cost is about $47 shipped.

That is about the same efficiency I got with my diode.

I have 315mW's @ 450mA's... (650-G-1)

Damn, I was hoping for over 300mW at 450mA with your average Aixiz glass. :(

Well, still, 200+mW of 635 should be ungodly bright compared to 660nm, right?
Any comparison beamshots, guys?

Also, how's it's brightness compared to 445nm ?

Here are a couple videos for you Eudaimonium.:)

These are Direct Uploads with no Rendering done.

1.1W 445nm Vs 550mW 635nm

550mW 635nm Vs 350mW 660nm

I cant take anymore for now as GF is about to get up. "4:50am".:eg:

Hopefully the fog Clears.

nice work!

I like the bar style beam it produces cause you can see it in the air pretty well at night!

so much brighter than my 384mW 660nm!

Yea its pretty cool but i would rather have a tight beam. More light concentrated will give you a more bright beam.:D

I also took a beam shot video outdoors last night and it was a clear night kinda chilly actually and the 550mW 635nm beam was very visible. I tried to view my 350mW 660nm and it was alot less visible ~4x less to my eyes.
