hey guys.its this new guy again. I've been waiting for my <5 mw red modules to come. finaly yesterday half my shipment came. im super excited to wire them up in groups of five. i know theres a difference between parallel and series. my question.
do wire my batteeies in series or in groups of 3 parallel. and do i wire my modules in series or parallel? i would like to keep my battery amount 6 or less double A if possible.im sure this is simple stuff for most, i personally havent played with electronics in over 20 years.
thanks in advance.

Not enough info Jim....:undecided:

We have no idea as to the Specs of your <5mW Laser modules...
A link would be helpful...

We have no idea what you want to accomplish...

You know what they say.... Garbage in... Garbage out..

sorry for the lack of info.i plan to use them as indevidual sources each pointing to one location the wire length will be less than 10 feet and resistance there shouldnt be an issue. im currently trying two different ones. both from dx.

im in favor of the first one due to the board not being exposed due to the fact that the modules wont be fully housed in a host...yet.
thanks jerry.

Yeah... I would go with the first link with the drivers enclosed.
Those Lasers require 5Volt DC each.

You would supply a regulated 5VDC or use 3pc 1.5V batteries in
series to get you 4.5VDC or you can use 4 rechageable 1.2VDC
NiCd or NiMH batteries in series to get you 4.8VDC.
In either of the cases those Lasers will function just fine.

You would wire your Lasers in parallel. The number of lasers
will depend on the current draw of each Laser and the Current
Capacity of your Power Source...

That's what I was guessing.just didn't want to burn em up. They're not expensive but took a while to arrive.
Thank you. Pictures to come
