Man, I really want one now!!! Just when I thought that the price was cheap before... (no explaining necessary). I MUST get one before they are sold out! If only my parents would listen to me..  Man, I could sell these to my friends for $60 lol.
no, sell them for $100 and make enough profit to buy a new one! [smiley=evil.gif]

Hmm, maybe DX will soon make a version that uses open can diodes. ;)

I'd be happy if they'd just offer the DX200 for sale as a host (without the diode and driver) for about $15. These things make awesome hosts for those of us who like to build them ourselves with our own diodes and drivers.

Lots of people have modified their Dilda and put different diodes inside (IE, the "Megadilda"). It looks fairly easy to do, you just need a good driver and a nice diode.

Edit:

Yeah well Australia is a pinko nation these days just like New Zealand. And I should know, I live there. Just about everything is outlawed now. Massive taxes, no fun, no freedom and certainly nothing that may possibly hurt anyone. Except cars. Think of the children.

I plan to upgrade my Dilda to a mega Dilda. Should be good.

It's just to bad that they banned lasers in Australia. :-[ I mean really sucks that if just one person does something people will screw it up for the rest of us. [smiley=angry.gif]

Well, it's just proof that society is governed by the idiots.

No, I'm not talking politicians. I'm talking about the laws that govern all society. Where did they come from? People doing something stupid and abusing something.
