Well they are already pre-focused and 5mW of red isn't bright, you won't be able to see any beam in the dark (only if theres lots of smoke or very foggy).
So it won't be 'bright', but you can definately see the dot in most, if not all conditions [smiley=thumbsup.gif]
Thanks, it sounds like what I need. It's for a school project, I only need a good focused dot. If I want to see the beam I'll just turn on the smokemachine
You will probably be able to see the beam in a very dark room,it won't be very bright, but it will probably be visible (unless it is under spec). This is because Green light is a lot more visible than Red light. This is because of wavelength. Green i right in the middle of the visible wavelength of humans, while red is right on the end of the visible spectrum.
Hope this helps,

:EDIT:
Sorry, i thought i read that it was a green module. LOL ;D. Sorry if i got your hopes up, the laser will definately not be visible.
