I wasn't sure if I should post this under the red diode heading because the diode is the red P73. But, this diode is being operated at 608nm in a very unusual set up. Hopefully, anyone interested in either color has a chance to take a look at the video and I welcome any feedback.

There are 622nm cryogenic diodes that operate at 5*C. You can grab them in a 150mW C-Mount package. I plan to build into them if I can get an enclosure that doesn't produce condensation on the electronics.

Very interesting, this will be tonight's lecture topic for myself. :)

That's "planters" from PL. He's the guy building a 3W green. He's also made a laserscope powered 10W yellow. Its worth checking out his channel. You will indeed learn something.

Very interesting video.... too bad that to get an orange beam at the moment is nearly impossible without doing what he did.

Or without dropping $500 on a <2mW HeNe. Or >$650 to set up a cryogenic housing for a 622nm diode without condensation killing the electronics...Or $2000 for a 607nm...

I've seen his 575nm video before, astonishing...
