C-mount 650 nM Focus Q

I have a 650 nM red C-mount diode which I got long ago from Chris. It does not have an FAC lens and outputs a bright streak of red.
I have PCX and PCC cylinder lenses and neither will gather the beam into a small square dot.
Anyone have success getting control of this diode?

I saw those other posts needing up to 4 lenses. I was hoping someone found a simple way to grab that beam. Simple means small here.
