building a Cheap Red Laser

So what do you think it would cost to build a red laser from acool host like tge pocket mini.
It does not need to burn but of course that would be a highlight!

basically I want to learn how to build lasers and seeing how red seems to be cHeaper for the power. I wanna try red laser first incase I screw things up

So what parts will I need and how much think it would cost. If someone able to give run down of parts and the cost of each part that would be excellent

That information is all over this forum, driver cost + diode cost + host = your answer.
A good example would be $10 for an LPC Diode + $20 for a flex drive + the host/heatsink cost.
