Nice, what did you have the current set at? I was thinking this would be cool with one of Moh's new focus adapters and some red gitd epoxy in the grooves.

I am doing a very similar build to this, how did you test the diode before assembly, simply attach the batt+ to the +FlexDrive ? No need to worry about the negative with this driver ?

He connected the negative of the battery to the black heatsink somehow and continuous negative comes into play.

But when you assemble it.. the case acts as the negative and runs through the heatsink, through the diode wires and into the flexdrive. The diode negative and battery negative are connected. You can use a continuity test on the two 'connectors' and it will beep.

If you look at the flexdrive manual.. It's the top wiring diagram.
