I'm thinking of (and probably will) selling my "custom" 20mW/635nm laser.
I have no idea what to ask for her and would like some of the more knowledged members to give me a ball park for an asking price.
I aquired the parts and sent them off to GooeyGus for the build.

The parts used .....

MXDL host
jayrob heat sink
rkcstr driver
Meredith glass module
JDS 635/9mm diode

I'm not sure how much testing Jason did with the build but I personally have not run the laser for more than 5 minutes and thus the reason i'm selling. BTW, GG also anodized the HS and IIRC it was because the diode is case positive.
The build is pristine and if you would like images I can probably do that tomorrow.
What say ye?

Thanks as always,
Ray

I don't know what you had to pay for the 635 9mm but it looks like a very nice build ! can't say what it's worth without knowing what the 9mm cost :thinking:

that looks sharp. The Meredith glass module is definitely worth some cash, and so is the heatsink and host. However not many members here mess with 9mm multi-mode diodes, so you'd be appealing to a small list of people when selling this.

I bought 50 of the little bastards (diodes) and than sold a few, I also gave most of them away. :thinking:
The beam of this build is how do you say.........very "narrow"?
I really don't know how to describe it but it's the best of the bunch that I have at the moment.
I'm deffinetly not trying to make any money on this build, I just want to make what the market dictates at the moment.

Thanks again,
Ray

Daquin recommended GG for my build and I think GG did a pretty darn nice job. :yh:

You've got about $90 in parts EXCLUDING the diode there.

Peace,

Host = $13
Heat sink = $28
Module = $35
driver = $15
batteries = $6
Diode = ?
Shipping = ?

Peace,
dave

+ $30 to GG for the build, I would guess the diode is probably worth between $20 and $30.

I think niko nailed it as far as what would be a "fair" price, but I don't think I would get any takers at $150. :(
I'll have to think about it. :thinking:

Thanks for the help,
Ray
