Any red lasers more than 250mw nowadays?

I remember on O-like and a lot of other sites they had a red laser pointer that emitted 400mw... Now I can't find it ANYWHERE. It was like $45... which was perfect. I want a red laser that'll burn, and I want it somewhat cheap. Can someone help? I'd prefer a 250-400mW, but i'd settle for 200mW, maybe 150mW.

Thanks

I've never heard of anything in the 300mW-400mW for that cheap of a price. You're best off just building one. you could do it for about that amount of $$$ too.

just power a $25 LPC-815 module from a $10 ddl driver. That leaves you $10 for an enclosure. :)

I got a laser from an SAIS its only 300mW... BUT i run it at almost 500Ma with a Heatsink like one of Jayrobs heatsinks and get somewhere in the range of 350mW-400mW. But unless you have an amazing heatsink and you only run the laser for a few minuets at a time, it may result in a shorter life span running it at those powers. or maybe a heatsink from darkhorse i think its called??? its an online company that sells fullbodied and short heatsinks. anyways thought u might like to know. its only like 42.99 plus 5.99 shipping. i got it in 5 days. it comes from the US. its a red LOC diode in an Aixiz module with an LM317 driver kit and a heatsink to boot. I light ciggarettes with it, pop baloons instantly, and cut tape in seconds. im not associated with this seller in any way. but it was the best option for me when i bought my first red burning laser kit. you should DEFINATELY put it in a host of some sort though. Jayrob sells amazing hosts... the pocket mini would be perfect for this build. search the forums for pocket mini, you'll find it.

heres the link.

hope it helps

Or you could save a couple $$$ and buy one of the newer 1W 642nm diodes :p

Noone has never been selling a 400mW laser for 45$. 45$ has always been the price of the 200mW. O-like said they were going to sell a 400mW version but they have never done it so I can't find where could you hear that. Anyways, 200mW is more than enough for burning.

Darkarmyofone;

The seller states diode ouput @ 330mw.

But, with the lens it is only @ 275mw.

That is only 75% of the diode power.

Add a better lens, and up that to 85%...
or even 95%.

@ 95%, that would be 314mw w. a tighter beam.

Yes, i've been meaning to order a modded lens for my LCC. what lens would be best for a LONG range/ CLEAN tight beam? im just curious, thank you larry.

btw.. nice springless lenses you got there!, is there any added benefits of not having the spring in the module? "other than the plastic scrapings" like does it allow a slightly larger amount of light to enter the lens because there no stupid black spring in the way? JW, thnx in advance
