You know, a link would be more useful than a few specs copied from that page.

We can read the specifications our selves when we go to the linked website. You don't even need to copy it.

I only want to share it so people are more aware of NEW goodies ok
What's wrong with that ?

300mW 635 diode only cost 65$ then you need driver heatsink and a lot of work and sweat... specially for beginners this is just a reallly nice i mean fucking ! nice pointer.

Nothing wrong with that. It's just that it was missing a link to the product, which is kind of an important thing to have in a post in which you want to make people aware of that new product.

I'm thinking of getting myself a 100mW greenie in that host. It's a beautiful host, especially the shiny one.

I don't exactly understand how can a laser cost only $10 more than the diode, but it would be nice to have the diode's price come down a bit.

Is that really a round dot ? Or is that the Mitsubishi 300mW diode with the bad beam spec ?

You'll get your answer soon after InfinitusEquitas got it in the mail hehe

I sent an E-mail to o-like asking a good explonation ;)

It is an awesome looking host. I also ordered the diffraction caps for it:)

As far as the cost is concerned, hopefully it's an indication of a coming price drop:)

I'm willing to bet that's the diode. I'll post a mini review on it once I get it, but if they discovered a way to correct these... that would be awesome.

Jetlasers managed to correct theirs somehow IIRC.

Edit: I didn't pay for express shipping... so might take a little while if my past experiences with o-like are any indication:(

O-like is a bigger company than anyone of us. They will get a better price for the diodes.

From the diffraction pattern the dot looks pretty round.

^^^DTR and RHD Purchased these diode "HL6388MG" a wail ago before ll these 635nm diodes started to pop up cheap and they where able to run them IIRC ~150mW so I dont think they are using that diode.

Those Diodes are Not worth the Money.

Plus the "HL6388MG" is Multi mode.;)

They are most likely using the 300mW Mitsubishi diodes.

They Probebly get the Mitsubishi diodes for ~<$30.

Interesting... we'll see if the claim of 200mW is accurate on O-like part than.

I knew this was a risky purchase... but I love the host:p
