Doubt it is really 500mw. It might be a fake meter programmed to display 400+ Mw's or it can be IR overkill.

Not gonna be 500mW, as many have said, its probably just gonna be a 500mW IR diode and then hope for the best in terms of green (less than 200mW most likely).
Especially since it comes with all those accessories.

It only says 5mW yet it says it's class IV, it's way to cheap for a class IV 532nm. With the low price and the accesories it comes with I wouldn't expect more than 100mW.

On the subject of Ebay lasers, I recently acquired this green laser. I could not resist since I liked the host, and it shipped from about 30 miles from where I live. It seems to output 40-50 mw of visible green, and who knows how much ir, but it is a great deal for 9 dollars. The one I got is odd though because it functions best in cooler temperatures(unlike all my other Ebay lasers). I like the host and price, and want to get another, but i am worried it will also only function in the cold. Or maybe i just got one that likes the cold. Please tell me if you know. Ebay is luck of the draw on this stuff and those 303 are the same. Might not work to possibly over 100mW but without an LPM to measure output is a guess and you don't know how much is IR. If you like it, you like it. Next one might be better or worse. If one is brighter than the other that still won't tell you which one has more IR and the dimmer one may actually have higher output because the IR is so high. Just keep in mind you cannot assume anything with a 532nm and even though they are so cheap they deserve respect. I have a cheapo pen laser that is really dim and was quite surprised when it measured over 80mW due to the IR content. If I remember correctly it was about 90% IR.

forget any "ebay" laser regardless of host to peak more then 100mW if lucky, 400mW is expensive to put out u need good crystals which dont come cheap sadly and for that u need to pay almost 500$ for a true 400mW+ green 532nm laser.

Apparently the crystals are becoming even more expensive due too lack of supply in china as less people are bothering with 100mw-500mw 532 lasers and less places are making them.

Actually it will last a really long time, so even if it sucks at least it will last a long time due to its "long lifetime chip" (stated in the actual description) so it will be reliable and last a long time.
