That's why he said multiple cubes. The resultant beam of the first cube is fired into a second cube where another beam is added. 1 cube: 2 beams. 2 cubes: 3 beams. 3 cubes: 4 beams etc.

It'd be a pain in the ass to align, but it'd work.

no, due to reds being polorized you can only use a cube to combine 2 beams no more.

Hello!
I´m sorry for the slow answer. I have registered here before some weeks, but haven´t seen this thread.
Pointly, I´m the builder of the laser, and attach now some more pics for you. My nick on Photonlexicon is Phritzler.
At the moment the laser is fragmented, becouse I will rework it (better more stabile holder, other Diodes who have more power, other driver s (I redesign my drivers!!) and some more changings.
Please ask if you have any question
-Phil

Indeed Andy. This isn't really a laser beam perse, just a bunch of separate laser beams shoved side by side. For a just a laser beam projector I guess it can get the job done, but it would mean a worse beam spec and a very odd beam profile.

Hello,
What will do with this laser other than laserprojectors? For laserpointer it is a bit to big! :D
Yes, they are side by side... But you must think you have 12 Diodes side by side and and beam is 3.8*3.8mm! So you can´t really see that they are more than one beam. And this construct puts out MUCH better Beamdata than any Broadband - laserdiode with 5mm 3mrad...
Yes, the beam is a swuare, but if you yustate other, you can make it look near round. At show nobod interest that the beam is round or square, if you have White point and not an 4mm green/blue point and 6mm red over it ....

well yes and no

they are a bunch of beams next to each other but thats why you use a lens to focus then and turn them into one beam
