Another quick question, the LM317 is basically a voltage regulator but it takes whatever ammount of voltage and cuts it down to how many volts ?

317 is reffered to as voltage regulator, but we use it in current regulation mode.
Don't worry about the volts, worry about miliamps.

I got my 317 driver up and running, feeding about 240mA to my LPC. This thing is bright! I figured I probably botched this diode during extraction. Lucky me! What a resiliant diode!

Eudaimonium, eu-da-man(-ium)! Thanks for the help with the LM circuit! I might also add that Rog808's site helped a lot, so thanks to Rog too.

My plan now is to stuff all this into a p60-sized heatsink. best-case I can use my existing flashlight with 2 rcr123 and this laser. Worst-case I have an oddly-shaped lab laser

Quick question,

How can I add an message on the bottom of my replies ? (Like Eudaimonium;)

My Spark drivers are being slowly formulated, see here: LM3410X drivers part 1
Sparks functional! See here: LM3410X drivers part 2
Bluray laser with Spark here: PHR build with Boost converter

Keep thinking, everything is possible. Except wooden furnace.

Help Kenom!

You mean the messages always present in the posts ? ..... it's your signature ..... go in your user control panel, and add/edit the signature field ;)
