1W 660nm TO-3 Diode

G'day,

I looked at my collection the other day and noticed the lack of class 4 660nm handhelds so i have found a way to get there

Its this 1W 660nm c-mount that i had installed in a TO-3 package for easy mounting: 650nm 1W laser diode C-Mount Laser Diodes 650-660nm

Specs:
1550mA +/-50mA
2.1V
1x150um emitter
11:40 divergence

Ill be putting this in a host soon, most probably a Bad-boy 32650.

Wow I have always wanted a 1W red :beer:

I really like red lasers , it is a classic color ... and I will probably also build some in the next month ...

Nice powerful output... I like it...

Not 100% sure but on your 1st video it seems
like you didn't get all of the beam on the sensor..
It may even put out more..

I also see that there is no FAC lens on the LD.
That would have given you a beem more like
this [ ] rather than this [ ----- ].

Some LD sellers will charge a small fee to add
a FAC lens for you.

Your right jerry it was a make shift alignment with the lens! I assume the power will increase once its lined up properly in a heatsink.

Yeah i should of asked for a fac lens bus didn't think of it st the time.

The dot and beam is similar to the 500mW 637nm diodes we have.
