Hello

Dear fellows I have a question for somebody who know about my problem .
I have an Laserworld projector on green 4,5 W . In time I found that I need more power... My projector is big and has enough space for other 3 modules but as I said I need just green but with more power . I thought to put a second green module inside . My question is about optics. Right now as I said I have a green module ...The beam go to a mirror and from the mirror to scanner . So is possible to put a second green module but how will be the optics ? In my imagination will be 2 modules seated in parallel and 2 mirrors but one mirror must to be a special one ...So there is a mirror to reflect green beam and in same time to receive a beam from the back side right thru it ???

I hope you understand the hole point .

I am curious about your answers .

Thank you very much for your time .

well...not really. if its reflective at green, its reflective at green. that applies to all green photons strikinig it at that wavelength. you could use a beam cube to combine them if you could get the angles right, but you'll have heavier losses and it may not be the best solution. the best option would be to just get a more powerful green module. though i can't imagine you needing more power if you already have 4.5 watts. that's more than enough for most anything. what on earth do you plan to do with more?

I will try to describe again more clear .

have a question for you about what kind of mirror I need for my problem . I will describe my situation .
I have an laser projector 4,5 W on green 532 nm . Inside is one green module but is space enough for other 2 modules . I think to put a second module to have more power but now I think about optics and I need a special kind of mirror and I don't know if it exist :) I need as a green beam to be reflected by this mirror and other beam to pass right thru the mirror via backside . So if you understand my problem please tell me how to proceed or if is possible ...
So if I didn't explained well I will try to describe you again . I will have two parallel beams going to two mirrors at 45 degree and from these mirrors must go perfect aligned to the scanner . So the idea is one of the mirrors must to be able to receive from the backside a green beam and to pass right thru it to the scanners and in the same time to reflect the second greenbeam to the scanner. There is this kind of mirror ??? Thank you very much

I saw right now your answer . I understand :( .

Can you post a picture of the insides of the projector? Just the optical deck - that way we can come up with some options. Although, really, replacing the green module entirely, with something more powerful would probably be easier than adding a second unit. Keep in mind, adding more green will make your whites more green too.

4.5 Watts isn't a lot for a projector really, not if you want to do outdoor beam shows or fill up a big hall with beams!

Laserworld is notorious for lying about power. I wouldn't count on much over a watt from that green you've got.

Anyhow is not complicated. Is just a mirror at 45 degree and the scanners

ultimatekaiser is correct. Unfortunately,
there is no mirror that can do this. I
think a beam cube can be used to combine 2
DPSS lasers, but I am not 100% sure on
that. It depends on polarization, so the
lasers would probably have to be rotated in
odd positions. It would also be very
difficult to align. There is another forum
with more technical and projector people
who will better answer your question.

Another example is this laser at 10 W N-G10W-A - $6,200.00 : Laser Light-goldenstarlaser.com, Laser Light-goldenstarlaser.com

How could arrange( combine ) 2 green modules to double the power of laser ?

As others have said, you would need to use a polarizing beam splitter cube or PBS for short.

It combines two polarized beams of light into one by reflecting light of one polarization and passing another.

The folks at Photonlexicon.com may be able to offer more assistance.

Hello Diachi

Thank you ...seem to have right :) I received an answer directly from Mimi of Goldenstarlaser

Thank you for your e-mail, sorry for this delay, because we are preparing for lighting fair April.6-8, and I can't reply you on time.

I understand what you mean, what you need is PBS mirror, it can combine two green, but the green needs to be one PAN, one Tilt. So when you order the green, you need to tell the direction, if not , you can't combine by PBS.

The photo below is two 1.5W to combine in 3W, you can have a look how it works

How in this world could upload here a photo from my computer ? :)

Upload it to imgur.com and copy the link to it here.

Also, you should avoid double posting - you can edit your last post.

You can combine two lasers that have the same polarization, but one will need to be rotated 90 degrees on the beam axis relative to the other. It's easier just to order two lasers that are already polarized at 90 degrees to each other.
