Sled head for precision magnetic alignment of dichros ?

Hi, I am in the last stage of my projector and thinking about an adjustable precision alignment for mirrors/dichros. Had read a lot about screw adjustable mounting rigs, and thinking about that I don't remember where but some folks built a mini lasershow putting a mirror on a sled head and controlling the axis of the head with some little current coming from an audio source. But the question is, do you think that putting some pots for the current to be controlled for those tiny electromagnets inside the head of the sled can make an electric precision external alignment mechanism for dichros/other effects ?

Hey that would be shiny, I have around lots of sled heads and pherhaps finally I could use them for something more than extracting those little magnets... :undecided:

Hard disk's coils could also be used for this. Sometime ago I made a little lasershow using some computer fans and some mirrors attached to Harddisk coils with its respective's NIB magnets. Also tried a projector with this HD coils but abandoned it due to the problem of its angular inertia. But in this case, this could be a very precise mirror/dichro positioning system that you can recalibrate without opening the proyector, simply moving the external pots...
