is there any kind of attachment i could buy for my "Wicked Lasers" Pheonix 75mW green laser pointer? (sorry if you dont allow brand names in posts) that would write out "Will you Marry Me?"

i remember when i was younger buying the cheap laser pointers from the gas stations that had attachments for smiley faces and stuff like that, so is there anywhere i can buy, or a way to make such a tip?

A custom diffraction grating?
Not that I know of sorry. Would be very expensive to have one made especially for you.
I could sell you one that displays a simple heart, but I guess that doesn't quite cut it!:crackup:

I like your approach though, hope that she is as nerdy as you are.

Custom tips like that aren't cheap. Someone looked into them, and it was like $250 or more for a set, and over $1000 for a single one I think. Maybe I've got it backwards, but it was several hundred dollars for one, easily.

You might get lucky and find one cheap, but it involves browsing
a few hundred auctions..

I've got a hundred of those caps that wannaburn mentioned. The closest I've seen is "I love you"

May I suggest that you buy 15 or so green lasers, and buy caps with the individual letters in it, then just make an array that spells it out? ^_^

Well what you can try is to cut out that text out of paper and make it go in reverse

unscrew the laser lens or focus it to a huge dot and plase the paper infront of it that will give you a sort of a projection but you can use a strong light like LED for that to , doesn't have to be a laser ( just an idea )

Another option might be to go to PL and find someone in your area with a nice 1W+ rgb projector. For a couple bucks you might be able to get them to make up some custom text (including her name) in full color.
